PBS Kids Ready To Learn on KGTF TV-12
' PBS's Ready To Learn Service on KGTF-TV is a unique contribution to the national education goal that all American children start school "ready to learn." It is an unprecedented blending of services that includes:

- Quality children's educational television programming on Channel 12;
- Program breaks delivering educational messages;
-Variety of outreach materials and resources for parents, teachers, and other caregivers;
-Free books to children who may otherwise not own one; and
-PBS Families magazine that further integrates PBS Kids programming with reading.

KGTF actively promotes the Ready To Learn Service throughout the Guam Head Start System - delivering the unique learning tools and activities to classroom teachers, students and their families - that helps lead them through an exploration of the goals of PBS Kids programs beyond the television screen.

KGTF's Ready to Learn is also open to all other children; throughout the year, KGTF in partnership with the Guam Public Library System and Americorps Volutneers, holds two-hour workshops that include stroytelling, actvities for children and their parents, and special viewing of PBS Kids programs which tie in with the day's theme. These fun workshops are always free and open to the public.

Other KGTF sponsored events, such as Arthur's All-Stars and Clifford and Friends Family Read-A-Thon for all children in pre-schools to the elementary grades-encourages support from everyone to make reading an affair of the home, again extending learning experiences from the exceptional children's programs on Channel 12 with books.
